Privacy Policy

CU Events is a campus event directory for Chandigarh University. It lists information about university events — titles, dates, venues, organizers, and posters — so students can discover them in one place. You do not need an account to use this site, and we do not ask you for any personal details.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information from visitors. There is no registration or login on the student-facing site.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when you visit — for example your browser type, device type, approximate region, which pages you open, and how long you stay. This data is aggregated and cannot reasonably identify you personally.

We use a small amount of browser storage strictly to remember your display preference (light or dark mode) on your device. This is not used to track you across websites.

This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

We use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how the site is used — for example how many people visit and which pages are most popular. These statistics do not identify individual visitors.

Event details shown on this site are provided by the university's organizers and administrators. If an event poster or detail relates to you and you would like it corrected or removed, please contact the site administrator.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
